The Benefits

Why Art Classes?

While art is often viewed as simple entertainment, neuroaesthetics shows that engaging with art reduces stress, sharpens the mind, and boosts well-being. Studies even link regular artistic activity to improved memory, greater brain plasticity, and a lower risk of cognitive decline in older adults.

Creating art amplifies these benefits. My small-group painting classes offer personalized guidance from a professional artist in a supportive studio. Instead of reproducing a set image, you will explore your own creativity, build techniques, and develop a lasting artistic practice at your own pace. No experience is needed—just curiosity and a desire to learn.

The Artist

Meet Arturo Samaniego

My goal as an instructor isn’t just to teach you how to paint—it’s to help you discover how you want to paint. Whether we are exploring color theory or experimenting with unique textures, I believe that contemporary abstract painting should be a deeply expressive, liberating, and personalized experience.

Drawing from my decades of professional practice as an exhibiting artist, I designed these classes to give you the practical skills, confidence, and studio habits required to take your artwork to the next level. No matter where you are on your creative journey, you will find a supportive, inspiring environment to push your boundaries.
