Original Paintings
All original paintings displayed on this website are one-of-a-kind works. Each is the only physical version of that piece. When you purchase an original, you own the only copy of that artwork in existence. The artist reserves the right to produce new original artwork that is similar to the original as part of a series of works. The artist also retains all reproduction rights and intellectual property of the artwork, and thus reserves the right to offer prints of the original for sale.
Commissioned Works
Arturo Samaniego may accept commissions for custom works inspired by themes, colors, compositions, or stylistic elements from his existing body of work. Commissioned pieces are new, original creations produced specifically for the client. They are not reproductions, copies, or prints of existing works.
By commissioning a custom work, you acknowledge that “inspired-by” pieces may share thematic or aesthetic elements with existing originals. Each commissioned piece is itself a unique original and becomes the sole property of the client who commissioned it.
Commission Process
Commission requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Timeline, medium, dimensions, style, and price are agreed upon prior to commencement. An initial payment is required to begin work. The initial payment amount and payment schedule are specified in the commission agreement.
Cancellation and Refunds
Commission initial payments are non-refundable once creative work has begun. Once the artist has begun painting, the initial payment is retained as compensation for time and materials.
Revisions
The client will be provided with updates during the creative process. Minor adjustments may be requested. Major changes to composition or concept after work has begun may result in additional charges.
Delivery
Completed commissioned works are delivered according to the timeline agreed upon in the commission agreement. Shipping and handling costs are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed.
